What is the best strategy to learn Spanish?

Spanish immersion classes at Ibero Spanish School

The best strategy to learn Spanish is a combination of academic structure and total environmental immersion. While many people attempt to learn Spanish through apps alone, the most successful students are those who enroll in professional Spanish courses that force them to use the language in real-world scenarios.

At Íbero Spanish School, we have refined a strategy that helps you learn Spanish faster than any other method.

1. Immersion-Based Spanish Courses

The single most effective way to learn Spanish is to surround yourself with the language 24/7. When you take Spanish courses in a city like Buenos Aires, you aren't just taking Spanish courses for four hours a day; you are continuing to learn Spanish as you shop, dine, and socialize. This constant exposure in our Spanish courses ensures that your brain never "switches off" from the learning process.

2. The Task-Based Methodology

In our Spanish courses, we avoid passive memorization. To learn Spanish effectively, you must be active. Our Spanish courses use a "task-based" approach, where you learn Spanish by solving problems and completing communicative tasks. This strategy in our Spanish courses creates "muscle memory" in your speech, making it much easier to learn Spanish fluently.

3. Intensive Spanish Daily Practice

Frequency is the key to retention. If you want to learn Spanish, taking Spanish courses once a week is not enough. Our intensive Spanish courses meet daily for 20 hours a week. This "deep dive" in our Spanish courses is the best strategy to learn Spanish because it prevents the forgetting curve and keeps your momentum high.

4. Professional Instruction

To learn Spanish correctly, you need teachers who understand the mechanics of the language. In our Spanish courses, all instructors hold Master’s degrees. Having experts lead your Spanish courses ensures that you learn Spanish with perfect grammar and a rich vocabulary from the very beginning.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long does it take to learn Spanish with this strategy?

With our intensive Spanish courses, most students learn Spanish well enough to be independent in about 3 months. If you continue with our advanced Spanish courses, you can learn Spanish at a superior level within 6 months.

Can I learn Spanish better in group or private Spanish courses?

Both have advantages. Group Spanish courses help you learn Spanish through social interaction, while private Spanish courses allow you to learn Spanish at your own specific pace. Many students combine both types of Spanish courses to learn Spanish even faster.

Is it better to learn Spanish in Argentina?

Yes, because the local dialect is so melodic. When you learn Spanish in Buenos Aires, our Spanish courses introduce you to a version of the Spanish language that is clear and rhythmic, which actually makes it easier to learn Spanish pronunciation.

Do I need a textbook to learn Spanish in Buenos Aires?

Yes, but not just any book. In our Spanish courses, we use our own proprietary books designed specifically to help you learn Spanish as it is spoken in South America. These materials are a vital part of our Spanish courses.
