Spanish and Volunteer in Buenos Aires

Spanish Learning Program in Buenos Aires

Volunteering is a great way to give back to a community, help others, and also help you in your future endeavors. Whether you wish to work with kids or volunteer helping the poor here are a couple key points to keep in mind when picking a volunteer program abroad.

  1. Research the causes or issues important to you. Look for a group or organization that works for issues which you feel strongly about. The more involved you are in the issue the better. There is a slot of information available on the internet, so research and find a cause that you wish to work for then research further into the different organizations in the area and see which one might be best for you.
  2. Consider the skills you have to offer. If  you enjoy outdoor work, have a knack for teaching, or just enjoy interacting with people, you may want to look for volunteer work that would incorporate these aspects of your personality.
  3. Would you like to learn something new? Perhaps you would like to learn a new skill or gain exposure to a new situation. Consider seeking a volunteer opportunity where you'll learn something new. For example, volunteering to work on a website for a Spanish school will improve your writing and editing abilities - skills that may help you in your career.
  4. Combine your goals. Look for volunteer opportunities that will also help you achieve your other goals for your life. For example, if you want to lose a few extra pounds, pick an active volunteer opportunity, such as cleaning a park or working with kids.

It is also a great idea to combine your volunteer program with Spanish immersion courses in Buenos Aires. Our Spanish immersion courses here at our Spanish school in Buenos  Aires are an intensive 10 hour per week course taught in communicative Spanish by native Spanish teachers from  Buenos Aires, Argentina, Spain and/or Latin America armed with a vast experience on teaching the Spanish language to foreign students (non-native Spanish speakers). All our Spanish immersion courses at Íbero will enable the student to achieve a level defined as ¨independent user¨ by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
