Our Commitment to a Positive and Respectful Learning Environment
1. Our Shared Commitment to a Positive Learning Environment
To foster an exceptional educational experience for everyone, we believe in a partnership built on mutual respect. Our goal is to create a safe, positive, and productive learning environment for every member of our Spanish learning community. The following guidelines help ensure the quality of our programs and a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Community and Cultural Respect We are proud to offer a high-quality education delivered by our dedicated, university-level professors. The success of our learning community relies on the professionalism and consideration of all its members. We encourage students and staff to interact with courtesy and respect for one another and for the local culture of our host country. This spirit of mutual understanding is key to a rewarding experience.
Guidelines for a Successful Classroom To create an optimal learning environment where all students can thrive, we ask for your cooperation in the following areas:
Focus and Preparation: To ensure a focused and effective experience for all, please arrive for your lessons prepared with the necessary materials. We also ask that you refrain from attending class under the influence of alcohol or other substances that may disrupt your learning or the experience of your peers.
Respectful Conduct: Open communication and collaboration are vital. We are committed to maintaining a space where students and instructors feel valued and respected. Behaviors that detract from this positive atmosphere will be addressed directly and constructively.
Safety and well-being: For the safety of our entire Spanish learning community, bringing dangerous or illegal materials onto the premises is not permitted.
2. Attendance and Punctuality
Consistent attendance is crucial for Spanish language academic progress. We ask students to be punctual for all our Spanish lessons. Excessive unexcused absences or tardiness may result in the forfeiture of class time. Students are expected to remain in their designated classrooms for the duration of the class period.
3. Payments, Refunds, and Rescheduling
- Payment Processing: A small administrative fee may apply to payments made via PayPal, credit card or wire transfer.
- Refund and Rescheduling Policy: Once payment for a Spanish course is made, it is considered non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for students who are unable to attend their scheduled classes. However, we offer the flexibility to reschedule your Spanish program with a validity of one year from the original start date.
- Non-Transferability: Spanish course enrollments are non-transferable and cannot be passed on to third parties.
4. Class Scheduling, Holidays, and Unexpected Disruptions
- National Holidays: Our Spanish language school observes all Argentinian national holidays. Spanish classes will not be held on these days and are not subject to reimbursement or rescheduling. To support continued Spanish learning, students will receive asynchronous Spanish learning activities on these dates.
- Strikes and Public Disruptions: In the event of a strike or other public disruption that prevents in-person instruction, Spanish lessons will seamlessly transition to an online format. In cases of force majeure, such as street blockades, we will work to reorganize the missed lesson at a suitable time.
- Student Absences: Make-up Spanish classes are not provided for student absences.
- Institution-led Cancellations: Should our institution need to cancel a Spanish class for any reason, a make-up session will be scheduled based on student availability.
5. Student Absences
All Spanish classes are scheduled and resources are allocated based on student enrollment. Consequently, if a student misses a scheduled class for any personal reason, a refund cannot be issued. The class was available and the service was rendered at the scheduled time. We encourage all students to prioritize their attendance to maximize their Spanish learning investment.
6. Instructor Absences
We are committed to providing uninterrupted instruction. However, in the rare event that an instructor is unable to teach a Spanish class due to illness or an unavoidable emergency, the following procedure will apply:
The instructor will notify all enrolled students as soon as possible.
A make-up session will be scheduled at a new time, coordinated by the instructor to accommodate the students. This ensures that no instructional time is lost.
7. Missed Make-up Sessions
The rescheduled make-up session is the official replacement for the originally cancelled class. If a student is unable to attend this scheduled make-up session, they will forfeit the Spanish class. As the opportunity to make up the lost time was provided, no refunds or additional rescheduling will be possible for a missed make-up session.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy, which allows us to maintain the structure and quality of our Spanish language programs.
8. Institutional Policies
- Right of Admission: We reserve the right of admission to maintain the Spanish language learning academic standards and integrity of our Spanish learning environment.
- Spanish Group Class Integrity: Our Spanish group classes are designed to foster collaborative learning and cannot be converted into Spanish private lessons.
- Exclusive Materials: Our proprietary Spanish learning textbooks are provided exclusively to students enrolled in a Spanish course of two weeks or more.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation. These policies allow us to deliver a consistently high-quality and fair Spanish language learning educational experience for everyone.
